Louis Ferreira, aka Justin Louis, stars in Syfy's "Stargate Universe" as Col. Everett Young. As a life-long military man Col. Young has had difficulty hanging up his wings. When he signs on for one more mission, it pushes his already strained marriage to the breaking point. Young is not one to assign high risk missions to others and he is often at odds with Dr. Rush (Robert Carlyle).
Louis Ferreira is a familiar face from his work in many television series including lead roles for NBC in "Hidden Hills," "Fighting Fitzgeralds," "Trinity" and "Missing" for Lifetime.
In 2009 Louis Ferreira was featured as David Mayles in the HBO film "Grey Gardens" opposite Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore. Other film work for Louis Ferreira includes roles with Mark Walberg in "Shooter" for Paramount, and "The Lazarus Child"—a thriller that starred Angela Basset and Andy Garcia. Louis Ferreira has had the pleasure of working with many top notch directors including Peter Segal, John Wells, Gary David Goldberg, Stephen Boccho and his favorite Canadian directors, David Cronenberg and Nicholas Campbell.
Louis Ferreira won rave reviews for his portrayal of "The Donald" in "Trump Unauthorized" and was a lead in the A&E acclaimed miniseries "Andromeda Strain." Louis Ferreira won the 2008 Gemini Award for Leading Actor for his chilling portrayal of serial killer Ray Prager in "Durham County."

He also had leading roles in The Fighting Fitzgeralds and Urban Angel, not to mention recurring roles in shows such as Night Heat, Friday The 13th, Local Heroes, Public Morals, and 24.
Louis has guest starred on numerous shows, including 21 Jump Street; Cobra; Highlander; Two; Millennium; Star Trek: Voyager; The Outer Limits; Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place; Judgin Amy; ER; Relic Hunter; Mutant X; CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami.
He has also appeared in numerous feature films, including Naked Lunch (1991); Savage Messiah (2002); Dawn of the Dead (2004); and The Lazarus Child (2004).
In addition, he appeared in the 2005 made-for-TV movie Trump Unauthorized, playing the lead role of Donald Trump. The movie is based on the book Donald Trump: Master Apprentice, by Gwenda Blair.
Louis also starred as Doug Barber on NBC's Hidden Hills,as well as in his own Canadian TV series Urban Angel. Louis' other TV credits include regular roles on the series St. Michael's Crossing, The Fighting Fitzgeralds, Battery Park and Trinity.
He also co-starred in the television movies The Perfect Mother, with Tyne Daly and The Staircase, opposite Barbara Hershey.
Louis' feature film work includes The Lazarus Child, with Andy Garcia, Frances O'Connor and Angela Bassett. He also starred in the independent feature films Mark Forester's Everything Put Together and Fallen Arches, for which he won the Chicago Independent Film Festival Award for Best Actor.
Louis divides his time between Los Angeles and Toronto. He was born in Terceira off the coast of Portugal, in the Azores Islands.
